PowerEducation system in England
When we were in London we had time to speak with some teachers and English people
about the education system in England. We learned a lot of things about Primary
School, because one person from our homestay family works as a teacher.
In Primary School pupils are from 5 to 11 years old. During the school year their
parents get descriptive marks. When children leave school they must pass an exam.
The school year is divided into three parts. Between every part pupils have holidays. Their summer break starts in half of July.
London schools are very multicultural. There are children speaking 50 different languages. Sometimes there is a problem with discipline. Unfortunately immigrants’ children don’t go to the same school as English ones.
